I was on this internet game show last night called “Asking for Trouble” hosted by cartoonist/adventurer/entrepreneur Ryan Estrada. I had to face off against cartoonist/mystery playboy/Batman scholar Deane Trippe in a series of trivia challenges. We both wore suits like trivia assassins and did our best to make our families proud. Find out who knows more about Frank Oz, Christmas Specials, Batman comics, and Nicktoons! It was a ton of fun.
BIG NEWS: My upcoming graphic novel Astronaut Academy Re-Entry has begun serializing online, totally free! It launched with the first 25 pages (an entire winter break storyline) and will update with a new page every weekday. I’ll also be posting commentary, process stuff, and personal anecdotes underneath all the pages. And if that weren’t enough, I’ll be writing a series of “love letters” about all the movies, videogames, manga, pop culture etc. that helped inspire the Astronaut Academy series. A bunch of my friends are also going contribute guest posts to the series as well, so it should be a ton of fun.
I’ve been working on this new book for over 2 1/2 years and it’s been a while since I’ve done any sort of online comics. So I’m a bit nervous and appreciate any and all help in spreading the word is beyond appreciated. And of course, I hope you like it!

The music collection keeps expanding…and enough people seem to enjoy my past holiday mixes, so here’s a 5th compilation! As usual, it reflects my eclectic musical tastes, but I tried to strike a balance between all the different genres and moods. Raina & I celebrated six years of marriage at Once, the broadway show based on the works of Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová, two of our favorite musicians!
I’m excited to return to the Miami Book Fair November 16th-18th.
All weekend, I’ll have a small table in the main street fair! Street Fair Hours: Fri., Nov. 16 – Sun., Nov. 18: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Here’s a map of the layout.
And I’ll be doing some fun storytelling events on Friday and Sunday.
Friday, Nov 16th, from 11-11:30am I will be at the Happily Ever After Stage. After the stage presentation, I will be at the signing area to autograph books.
Sunday, Nov 18, from 12:30-1pm I will be on the Happily Ever After Stage.
