Merry Christmas

I thought it would be fun to make a seasonal commercial for graphic novels, the perfect gift for the holidays! Inspired by the Kraft cheese commercials that used to play between holiday specials when I was growing up. Why not pick up a comic book for someone you love?

I have a vast love of holiday movies: old, new, and random. And since people often ask me for recommendations, I figured I’d make a few lists of personal favorites. These are 100% sincere, not ironic endorsements.

My favorite Holiday Specials and Christmas Movies…

VIDEO: Book recommendations for the holidays

Watch Raina Telgemeier and I in our winter sweaters as we join Jerzy Drozd and librarian superstar, Sharon Iverson (AADL) for a festive talk about fantastic graphic novels & comic books to give as gifts for the holidays. Lots of readers advisors and a lightning round! Bonus discussion about why I love snowmen, a video montage at the end, and a cameo by our Christmas tree.
