I’ll be a part of Books of Wonder’s graphic novel event on Sunday September 25th from 1-3PM. This is NYC’s premier children’s bookstore and the place that helped cement my love of making kids books! So people come out and tell your friends! If not for me, then definitely for Sara Varon’s Bake Sale. You can even buy a cupcake from the in store bakery and enjoy hearing about cupcakes in graphic novels at the same time!

Sunday, September 25th — Books of Wonder invites you to meet 6 talented authors and artists who have all created GREAT GRAPHIC TALES. Joining us will be CARLA JABLONSKIfor Resistance, Defiance; GEORGE O’CONNOR for Hera: The Goddess and Her Glory; MK REED for Americus; DAVE ROMAN for Astronaut Academy; RYAN SIAS for Zoe and Robot; and SARA VARON for Bake Sale. Each of these these great graphic novel creators will introduce their latest books, answer questions from the audience, and sign copies of their books! Ages 5 and up. 1-3pm

About Dave

Dave Roman is the author of several graphic novels including Astronaut Academy: Zero Gravity, Teen Boat! and Agnes Quill: An Anthology of Mystery. He has contributed stories to Explorer: The Mystery Boxes, Nursery Rhyme Comics, and is the co-author of two New York Times bestselling graphic novels, X-Men: Misfits and The Last Airbender: Zuko’s Story. Roman is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts and worked as a comics editor for the groundbreaking Nickelodeon Magazine from 1998 to 2009. He lives in NYC with his wife, and fellow comic artist, Raina Telgemeier.
